It’s awards season – whether it is Norfolk’s own Olivia Colman picking up the Oscar for best female performance in The Favourite or Suffolk’s own Ed Sheeran who claimed the Global Success award at the Brits. What is clear is that East Anglia is producing its fair share of superstars.
And here at Pursuit Software we are absolutely delighted to be nominated for an award at the prestigious UK Jewellery Awards 2019, where we are in the running for the award for Best Service Provider.
The awards are growing year on year, since their inception 27 years ago. This year, there are more than 400 entries spread over 20 categories. The final shortlist sees 120 businesses in the running for awards, with representatives from retail and design to manufacturing and marketing.
Quoted on the website retail-jeweller.com, Retail Jeweller editor Ruth Faulkner said: “It was fantastic to see such a diverse range of companies entering this year’s awards and the standard of entries was incredibly high, meaning the editorial team had a very difficult job of deciding on the eventual shortlist.
“The shortlist this year is testament to how many successful businesses we have in this sector, despite what has been a challenging year for retail in general, and I look forward to celebrating with all of the finalists and winners on July 3.”
Now the nominations have been announced, the shortlists will come before an independent panel of industry experts who will judge the entries anonymously. The awards will be announced at a gala event on 3 July, to be held at the Artillery Garden at the HAC in London.
The awards, which are the longest running in the jewellery and watch trade, see Clogau returning for the sixth year as headline partner for the 2019 event. Other sponsors include Citizen, the Company of Master Jewellers, Hockley Mint, International Jewellery London, Jewellery & Watch, TH March and Uno de 50.
There are 10 other companies up against Pursuit Software in the Service Supplier of the Year category. These include: Bransom Retail Systems, De Beers UK Grading and Inscription Laboratory, Goldsmiths Company Assay Office and VM and Events. Company Managing Director Mike Burns commented: “We are competing against some well-known and highly regarded names within the jewellery and watch sector but we know the quality of our product and we know that we are recognised for the exceptional service we provide. These are exciting times and just to be nominated is a great honour and testimony to the hard work of our team here at Pursuit Software.”
However, Mike continued: “While it is a lovely accolade to be nominated and we look forward to hearing the results of the judging, our minds are totally refocused on what we do best – to keep raising the bar and providing a great service for our loyal customers.”
